The TradeSmarter binary options broker is veteran brokerage software program.  The Australian program is, alongside its operator Market Punter Ltd., regulated by the Australian Financial Service.  This software has an easy-to-use interface; it includes a very helpful FAQ and glossary for informed trading.

Box View

As visible from these screenshots, in addition to the two available trading interfaces on the left side of the screen, on the right side of the screen there is a help box that explains how each part of the interface works.

From our trial with TradeSmarter, the execution of trades was fast and efficient; the overall experience was a positive one.

Features:

TradeSmarter offers a variety of innovative and helpful features.  One such feature is the alert feature for expiring options.  This feature will remind you of options before they expire.  This is especially useful for long-term trades that people tend to forget about.  Another feature is the Binary Options Wiki – we found this to be a very comprehensive database for answering any questions one would ask about binary options trading.  Furthermore, TradeSmarter has a blog that regularly reports about the goings on of currencies around the world.

TradeSmarter also offers free training and support to anyone who deposits the $100 minimum.  The training is very helpful and easily accessible.

Customer Service:

During standard trading hours, Sunday morning to Friday evening (GMT), TradeSmarter provides tech and trading support via chat, e-mail, or phone.  E-mails are immediately responded to with a confirm e-mail to reassure the client that their e-mail has been received; however, the actual written response to the e-mail can take a long time.  TradeSmarter’s chat response, though, was very fast and helpful.  Here’s a view of the chat window:

Usability:

The TradeSmarter registration takes, as promised by their website, under one minute.  The page offers convenient links to major e-mail providers in order to expedite the login process.

The next step is to deposit money to start the account.  TradeSmarter accepts deposits in US dollars, Euro, GB pounds, or Australian dollars.  Deposits can be made with major credit cards, MoneyBookers, or PoLi.  TradeSmarter has yet to integrate PayPal.  Wire transfers can also be used, though we do not recommend it because there is a $30 charge on withdrawing via wire transfer.

The people at TradeSmarter, as mentioned above, invested a lot of time and energy into helping trade – well – smarter.  The program includes very comprehensive resources and information.  The Wiki is an excellent tool to use to make sure you know what you’re doing with every type of trade you make in any given circumstance.  Some of the help options are embedded in the program, while others are available directly from the website.

Conclusion:

TradeSmarter is very successful at balancing the needs of beginning traders with the trading ability required by the more advanced ones.  The program does not lack in trade-execution abilities, while simultaneously proving enough background information, educational materials, built-in help, and live assistance to enable even the most rookie of traders to successfully navigate binary options trading.
